I was listening to Hoffman this afternoon on the Dan Patrick Show and after listening to Trevor, I am even MORE convinced he is one of the neatest guys in baseball!!

) ....but instead of relaxing and kicking back......they had all the kids inside one of the sand volley ball courts running sprints and taking ground balls........it was outstanding.........they stuck around for about 2 hours shooting the shit with everyone and playing with the kids.......then bailed.....no a single person bothered them for an autograph that night......what they did was far better than any signature they could have given......

Oh he's a damn good arm.........but he only played in as many playoff games as he did, because of the guys that gave him the chances......and for the most part he did his job well.......until the Redsox took him apart
He's a guy that checks his ego, or really lack thereof, at the door when he comes into the clubhouse. He's been a team guy from the moment he put the Padres uniform on.
