    This kid is for real and has a huge bat, it's already been proven that the glove isn't apart of any awards anymore, so even if he's only so so with the glove he could still win the ROY

    Fact or Fiction: The Padres will land either Andruw Jones or Torii Hunter this season in a trade which some have thought might happen.

    Fiction: The only piece the Padres really have to move is Scott Linebrink and I doubt it would be enough to get a Hunter or Jones.

    Only piece? I know the Padres have more expendable players to offer than just Linebrink.

    I dont think he will win the MOY award because the NL West is perceived as being too weak. IF the Padres win the division people will chalk it up to a good rotation in a weak division. The Manager of the Year award will go either to a NL Central sleeper team, or lame duck Charlie Manuel for winning the division over the overrated Mets

    0% chance Meredith posts an ERA close to the 1.07 of last year. He'll probably have a good year...but nothing even close to being under 2.00

    Fiction. Hard to argue against Peavy with his strong second half last year after he did whatever he did to correct his vision

    Fact. Peavy is a cy young candidate every year and will probably get at least a few votes...and Chris Young will might have a good enough year for a san diego beat writer to give him a vote.
