Making a poll this time.
I think the Dodgers are a very legit threat, despite their lack of power.
The Diamondbacks can suprise.
The Giants will hang in there, but they'll drop off in the end.
The Rockies are the Rockies.

I have no doubt in my mind that the Dodgers will win the West this year.
The Dodgers will definitely be in it till the end.
They'll run away with it if the Padres "question players" don't answer the perverbial questions.

I would like to see the Dodgers pull away with the West.

pox on you

I voted for the Dodgers.
Diamondbacks. ****ing Randy Johnson.
Tough call. IMO it's anybody's game at this point.
Padres...it'll be a dogfight between them and LA but I doubt the Dodgers have everybody healthy (Penny, Nomar, Gonzo etc.) by the end of the year. But we shall see.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
Its going to be between the Padres and the Dodgers. it'll come down to the last week but the Padres end up winning the NL west
Padres and Dodgers will battle....and IMO the team with the least # of key players injured in Sept. will win....both teams have excellent starting pitching, padres have a better bullpen, Dodgers have a better lineup ( unless certain Padres ?'s turn into the real deal ) So if pitching wins, then we should be able to overcome the slight differences in our lineups....
PADRES FOR SURE!!!
It all depends on Maddux and Wells. If one sucks, we might be alright. If both suck, we're probably screwed. If both are as good or better than last season, I see us finishing with more than 90 wins and comfortably taking the west.
However, if Kouz posts an OPS over .850 he can cancel one of their suckings, same as Marcus Giles. now if BOTH Marcus Giles and Kouz have great years while BOTH Maddux and Wells post ERAs of 4 or better, I think we will win the world series.
Just some mind juice.
Odd of both Maddux and Wells "sucking" is an extreme longshot.....Odds of Maddux sucking....unlikely......Odds of Wells sucking as a #5....unlikely as well.....
Kouz will very likely post an OPS over .800 so we're in great shape at the hot corner from the batting standpoint.....MGiles I think will find his typical form and be a doubles machine.....his OPS might not be astronomical, but for someone that doesn't pound HR's and is more of a doubles hitter OPS is a skew'd stat IMO.....
It's really not a question of whether or not Wells will "suck" (even though that is a real concern...I just don't see it happening.) Anyways, the real concern with Wells is whether or not he'll stay healthy.
