I'd love to read this article.........of the many things I've read coming from SA it was more like ..... At this time we're not going to give out an extension, this isn't to say that wont happen, just not at this time......etc....

SA is very good at not saying too much, and not giving absolutes, so it would amaze me if someone caught him quoting that there is a "slim to none" chance of us resigning Bochy.....

KT might have gotten caught, because he can't keep his mouth shut, but I doubt that as well, because until Bochy left KT was all buddy buddy with him....it wasn't until Bochy left that KT opened his piehole and started spewing.....now KT's jeopardizing our relationship with Balsey.....ugh

In the end Bochy's a Gnat and the Padres are searching for a new manager, regardless of the whys and hows leading to Bruce's departure.

This does NOT make Bochy a traitor in any way.

You know, the tone of the thread was meant to be tongue in cheek and mildly sarcastic, but everyone ran with it, so I played.

I do however, think he is a traitor after 24 years and going to the Gnats of all teams, and that is IMO. I don't however blame the guy.

As the saying goes...."One door closes and another one opens." For me, it is just that sometimes change is a hard thing to accept. Only time will tell.

Now we don't have to put up with his veteran coddling and his stupid in game moves. Bochy was the 2nd worst manager of any with 10+ years in the history of the game. Not much to recommend him.

Now the Gnats are condemned to mediocrity with him at the helm instead of the PAdres.

It's based on armchair managing.

Anytime Bochy was given a squad with any real talent the Padres were in the playoffs, except for 2004 and 1997. And they barely missed it in 2004.
