    Depending on how much they'd pay Sheff I'd imagine they'd still have enough left over to bring in a bigger FA pitcher.

    Yah about 35+M still.......this trade doesn't cost us squat......so we're still hovering at about 35M to spend.........

    Sheff better not cost us more than 8M......the yanks better eat almost half...otherwise........

    How much does Giles make ? Subtract those two from 35+ and you'll know how much we still have to spend......which is a ton

    Giles made just under $4mil last year and he is arbitration eligible in 2007. Sheff makes $13 mil next season so it better be a good offer to get the Yanksto eat some dough. Phillies are also looking at Sheff.

    4-5M for Giles is less than Aki would have gotten when you factor in the neg. rights.....so we'll have even more money to play with....sheesh.....what are they looking to do......wow
