Last year was not even with a winning record.

I'm predicting that under the scenario that the Mets shell the Dodgers and the Padres beat the Cardinals, the Mets will sweep the Padres in the NLCS, prompting Leo to use the same "We ran into one of the greatest teams ever" card.

82-80 is not a winning record?

It's been awhile since I took elementary level math, but if I remember my classes well I think 82 is greater than 80.

Have I made mention to the 1998 World Series here before? Is it not true? Was that Yankees team not that damn good?

I call it like I see it.

I wouldn't say that this year, the Mets are certainly beatable. Although they are the best NL team on paper, even without Pedro.

If we do make it to the next round, I think we'll put up a good fight against the Mets. They don't have Pedro and really only have 1 good starter. No way should it be a sweep.

    YAY...

And I am predicting. We beat the Cards as we proved we can. The Dodgers (Yes the Dodgers who are freaking hot right now) Beat the Non Pedro Mets.

And As we ALL know MY padres OWN the Dodgers.

so it will look like this: The whole playoffs:

    Dodgers>Mets
    Padres> Cardinals
    Padres> Dodgers

    NYY> DET
    OAK> MIN
    NYY>OAK

NYY>SD ( I wish this one goes the other way and I will try to keep the faith but I smell 1998 all over again)

I think the Yanks will collapse. Pitching will give away eventually.

Congrats to the Pads as this year was a lot more deserving. Great finish and the Cards/Pads series should be a good one.

i have a feeling that with their awesome pitching they might go all the way to the World Serreis and finally after 3 attempts (may I remind you that it took my D-Backs only one hehe ) win the World Serries
