I find it a bit discouraging that since the Dodgers acquired a handful of solid players, Grady Little claims the team's recent streak is directly attributed to the confidence boosts that team management has given the club in that they're trying as hard as they can to create the best team possible. This would be a bit more settling if we hadn't of gone two years in a row now with horrible streaks after the deadline when more promises were broken than actual moves (especially after we went 4-15 after Moores decided to go public with his lack of desire to win if it requires even one more dollar).
I just hope management is taking notes, because this situation is really getting to me. The Dodgers got the two exact players we wanted and have since been the best team in baseball; who's to say we would have NOT had the same fortunes had we made similar moves?
I'm all for a free Todd Walker, but I believe a free Todd Walker with Betimit and Maddux would have put us into a commanding lead atop the division.
