    Wow! 40 for 100!? That is amazing. If he's still only batting .293 he must have been doing bad before. Congratulations to Mr. Barfield. Hitting .400 in a month is quite an achievement.

    The amazing thing is, how quietly he's doing it. He's not hitting HR's all over the park, he's getting the base hits, hitting the gaps and not to mention he's been doing a great job defensively.

    Barfield is having a pretty darn good rookie season. But I'm not sure if he'll get any ROY considerations (if much at all).. Seems to me they always pick someone who makes more of a "bang". And Barfield doesn't really make a bang.. he's just a solid quiet guy who goes on about his job.

    Maybe we should try and help somebody or be somebody
    Instead of being somebody that makes the news
    So everybody can tweet about it
    And then they start to R.I.P. about it
    And four weeks later nobody even speaks about it.
