Take him please.....cheap......He's Sean Burroughs all over again. Hopefully the Angels won't waste too many more years on the guy like the Pads did on Burroughs.....

2-4 with zero RBI isn't getting the job done, in case someone was going to point out he finally hit the ball.....and he's had ample opps to bring runners in....

Antonelli may solve all of these problems, great D and a good bat at 3rd, and he should be ready by September-early '07. Worth a shot, eh?

I really do, I liken him to Ryan Zimmerman, with about half the power potential.

Yeah......my only concern is he's another Sean Burroughs......potential when drafted to hit around .300, but nearly zero power......at least he's supposed to be a very patient hitter

I like drafting college players than kids out of high school. Of course the kiddos have high risk/high reward, but the colligans (spelled wrong for sure) typically get into the majors as soon as a few months.

You know, that's the best compare for him, Sean Burroughs, but I didn't want to use it because I figured it turn you guys off..

Well it's pretty realistic........but who knows...guys can develope power as they go through a farm system....I still think we ruined Burroughs...I think that kid has a promising future, but Mags screwed with his swing too much, and in doing so screwed with his head

I think the whole "you have to have power at 3rd base no matter what" notion is a bit overrated.

If they develop power elsewhere i'm fine with a Burroughs-that-hits-for-more-consistant-average-and-knows-what-an-XBH-is type.

Sure.....I'll take a guy that hits .300+ all day long........but if he's not going to hit for power, he better hit above .300 or steal a truckload of bases....or something productive

Yes we know...we had Tony Gwynn.....while obviously not playing 3rd base.....he was a corner OF " power position "......and he didn't have any power.......but we'd take his .330 all day long

Yes but Gwynn stole bases as a younger player. Boggs played good defense and was always on base. Gwynn in his later years was the same way.
