    this is all LTR's fault.

I don't know how, but it is.

to be fair, neither pitcher had a good game.

Lucky for King Felix CHP's day was worse than his.

edit: speaking of which, according to a little debate i'm having in the general MLB discussion forum, LTR would inform us all that King Felix pitched a good game because he "kept Seattle in the game" giving up his 7 earned runs.

What did King Felix do to keep Seattle in the game?

If nothing else he almost blew it for them. They were up by 7 runs until he decided it was a good idea to give up 6 more.

Good job keeping his team in the game right there...

He team was ahead like you said so he could afford to give up those runs. Did he do anything great? No, but he did what he is paid to do and give his team a chance. And again no one is saying it was a "good" job but he got the team a win and saved some arms as did Park!

So... if Park had only given up 2 runs are you telling me Felix wasn't doing what he was paid to do doing the same exact thing he did in the event of CHP giving up 10?

I raise the BS flag on that one, Felix was just lucky Park had a worse game. Because had he given up those same 7 runs with Jake Peavy on the mound the Mariners would've been thrashed.

What? Park gave up his runs in the second inning. Felix gave his up in third and sixth. When you get a lead like that you relax and if you remember in the sixth Felix shopuld have been out of the inning 1-2-3 but a passed ball allowed the inning to continue. If Peavy gave up only two then Felix would have kept his focus and probably pitched a better game. Because the Padres kept scoring Park kept pitching to stop the bleeding and saved arms in the pen. And who is to say Peavy woul;d have done better?

I'd argue 99 times out of 100 Jake Peavy will not give up 10 runs in a game

That said, you do have a good point in this regard. (as opposed to the example I was putting forth in the other thread.)

And I also didn't say Felix shouldn't have gotten the win.... even if it is by default.

I know...i'm starting to realize we actually agree on this entire subject.

That said, "Pitchers B and C" weren't keeping their teams in the game anymore than "Pitcher A" was
