Not intended to corrupt......but I do intend to keep track of Petco.....if you want to start a different thread, thats on you
There, now we have a one stop catch all thread for everyone's "HRs at PetCo" needs

NLWest ballparks have given up this many HR's so far.....
Petco - 37
Dodgers_ 37
coors - 29
At&t - 35
Chase - 39
So Petco is tied for giving up the 2nd most HR's so far....
that said, I have noticed the numbers have been up thus far, based off simple observationOriginally Posted by padrefanforever
edit: anyone else see the irony in Coors being last?

Yup.......and the fact that we have more talent here.....lol
Rockies have only played 17 home games though, compared to 22 for the Padres, 20 for the Dodgers, 21 for the Giants.
Good point......will make a difference for sure.......Rockies are also now keeping the game balls in a humador lol......so HR's should be down this year
the Rockies should get a dome and pressurize it some.

The complaints about the ballpark were coming from 2 guys, 1 of them is no longer a Padre(Nevin) and Klesko was the other one.

I have maintained that that we didn't have true power hitters and that there was a personal issue with some of the players, but that doesn't mean it's not a pitcher's park.
I have also never denied the obvious fact that oposing teams have more HRs than the Padres, but have maintained that that doesn't tell you anything about whether or not it's a pitcher's park, it only tells you that the Padres don't have home run hitters.
I have pointed out that opposing hitters have hit less HRs/AB at PetCo than opponents have in all but 2 other NL parks in 2004 and all but 1 NL park in 2005, and that that tells you more about how well a HR can be hit at a stadium than how many HRs opponents have as compared to the Padres in the same park.
I don't know what this year's figures look like.
