Dodgers just got a walk-off single of their own Nomar
Ugh........ damn the Brewers.......lol
I won't further this debate because even if they were "firing..." for those 5 games they have since come back to Earth.Originally Posted by padrefanforever
That and, I don't care if they only get one hit every game as long as that hit wins the game for them.
And no, Chan Ho doesn't get the win.

Thats fine.....and as I said in a previous post, timely hitting is very important, but possibly more important is consistant hitting, which is what we're lacking.......
ironically enough, Scott Cassidy robs another W from a deserving pitcher.
At least he did pitch good himself, this time, and he also wasn't the one that robbed the decision from said pitcher, either.

I agree, and even if my claim was correct (which i'm not saying it was or wasn't) only doing it for five games is not consistant.Originally Posted by padrefanforever

So if Cassidy wins 20 should he qualify for the Cy Young ?

The sad thing is, he probably would get some votes.

yah......that should get votes like a DH should get votes for the MVP.....
Padres need to get to Sean Marshall early and often. He's a good young pitcher, so this teams needs to swing the bats and move the runners....get him out of the game early. If Jake can get 4-5 runs in support, there's no question in my mind that we'll win this game.
My prediction....Jake Peavy 8IP 4H 1ER 7K's

A guy in my division at work went to college with Sean Marshall and they were pretty good friends.
That aside, I hope his buddy gets roughed up on the mound today.

I think Jake is going to be on his game tonight. I think he's going to be the Jake we saw last season.
