lock for the Hall of Fame on the first ballot (obviously).
for a catcher, this is pretty incredible.
Wow. I'd rep Mike Piazza if he were a poster on this site.
If he's not a first ballot HOFer, baseball writers need to be shot by real HOFers.
Rep him becuase he hit a milestone and the Pads didn't.....HOF definitely. #1 offensive catcher above even Bench....Originally Posted by Dry1313

Man too bad it had to come of our closer Jose Valverde...
Anyway congrats to Mike
Congrats to Piazza. I like him better now that he's back in So Cal, even if he's a Padre. I'd be booing him if he were still a Met.
It's kinda bizarre to think that this ST was his first ST in the Cactus league. He was always a Grapefruit leaguer.......

I'll send congrats when he hits # 426 this year
what's 426?
it means he'll have hit 28 HR's for us
Piazza's bat is starting to get hot, I think the rest of the team will come around and we'll start firing on all cylinders. The Padres are almost exactly where they were this time last season(9-13). They could be 9-13 right now if not for the rain out against the Giants, so we can look at that in a positive light. We're only a month into the season with a lot of Padre baseball yet to see.
