yes you picked the split.......but not the games we split...... I think you called a Peavy win vs. Trachsel didn't you.....
How many HR's is that now ? Opposing team vs. Home Team.......??
the HRs at PetCo do seem to be up thus far.Originally Posted by padrefanforever

That's fine......... I even think HR's are up for us also I think........finally have some guys with a little power and shazam, HR's...........what a concept eh ?
Josh Barfield has been lighting up pitchers since he's been moved to the #2 spot in the lineup. He had another great day at the plate yesterday with his first Petco Park HR and I believe finished the day at 3/5 with 2 runs scored, not a bad day for the NL ROY candidate.
he had 3 runs.
Not to be nitpicky, but i'm actually keeping a Mark Loretta/Josh Barfield stat tracker on another forum.
Josh is outperforming Loretta pretty well right now.

Wow....... thats great to see........I wonder how much better Vinny is doing at 3rd compared to the mess that was there before ? and Gonzo at 1st also....
Anyone think Gonzo has a chance to have 90-100 RBI's this season? I know that's a lot to expect for his first year as a Padre, but he's off to a great start.
Not at this rate.......but he's going to have an opportunity to leave 200 on base, or have we done that already....... ugh !!!
hey now, Gonzalez has been reliable for the most part. (granted this is going off memory, not looking up stats)
Don't knock on him just because the team in general likes to leave guys on base.

I LOVE GONZALES.......... nobody knocked him.........but clearly the team isn't getting runners home.......this includes him.....nobody on this team is an RBI machine right now.......nobody
You can't just make a blunt generalization due to an overall team performance and apply it to one guy.
We had the same problem in 2004, but I wouldn't have classified Mark Loretta as a bad hitter who can't get runners in that year..
that said, i'm looking up Adrian's RISP numbers now, but it's taking awhile, i'm at work on the slow connection

Adrian's #s with RISP: .421 AVG .522 OBP .526 SLG (1.048 OPS) 10 RBIs 4 BBs
looks pretty good to me
