I would be very careful about what prospects the Padres give up for Zito. The Padres have been known to give up on prospects too early.

I like Zito, don't get me wrong, but he's got a lot of control problems on his pitches. I watched him pitch against the Padres during Spring Training and he was leaving that curveball of his dead center of the plate.

Spring training is just that...........look at what Brazelton did in Spring.....lol........ Zito in Petco and the heavy air = that curveball is wicked

Maddux to LA?

According to ESPN.com MLB Insider....

Apr 18 - If Greg Maddux doesn't pitch for the Cubs next year, the Dodgers are a possibility, the Daily Herald reports. New Dodgers GM Ned Colletti was with the Cubs when Maddux began his career(1986-92), and in San Francisco in 2004 when the Giants made Maddux a better offer than the deal he signed to return to the North Side. Maddux is making $9 million this year, and his contract expires at season's end.

Was I the only one that watched the Cubs/Dodgers game last night? Maddux was absolutely filthy. He was making the Dodger hitters look so bad that even Vin Scully was clowning on them last night. "After this game the Dodgers are getting their diplomas because Maddux is taking them to school".

You know you're getting schooled with the great Vin Scully is clowning on you.
