If anybody wants to win you should lobby fish to put me in your division.

The computer did it, so let me check it out.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

My score might be wrong too, but I'm stupid and don't know how to work these odds.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Crimson: You had two winning bets. You had the Reds/Pirates leading the division, and you had the Rangers winning on Saturday, along with various losing bets. That could be why.

    Re: S3F: Vegas Divisions

BTW, the odds for the system are as follows

You put down a stake "x"

If you lose, you lose your bet "x"

If you win, you win BACK "x" along with (odds number)(x).

For instance, if you bet 100 S3F Cash on a bet with 5:1 odds, and you won, you'd win 600 vCash in return (100)+(5*100)

OK, thanks...that makes sense, I was just too lazy/devoid of common sense to figure that out.

ADH: I'll put you in a division now, you forgot to post in the sign-up topic so I missed putting you in a division. If you would post there, that'd be great

Sorry, I did win two (but I should have lost overall in the Joolian Tavarez show b/c I hedged and lost), but I think the computer is treating S3F cash won as a gain rather than overall money returned.

For instance, I'll go over all my bets:

    Alex Gordon – Lost 15 on 3 bets (-15)

    Reds v. Pirates – 400 bet at 5/2 odds turns into 1000 (+600 gain)

    ATL v. PHI – lost 10 on 1 bet (-10)

    Joolian Tavarez show: Net (-50)
Bet 150 on Rangers win at 4/3 odds turned into 200 (+50)
Lost 100 on Boston wins (-100)

    Total: 1000 -15 + 600 – 10 – 50 = 1535

Ahhh, I see. So it gives you back what you bet plus what you won, thus increasing your winnings. There's where I was off. That's not usually how odds work is it?

I don't know honestly. If I ran it manually, God forbid, I'd run it as you added it up, but this program (and I think many real life) runs it as I explained. I had to figure it out too.

Actually, (I hate to tell you how to run your show so feel free to ignore me if you want), this method completely distorts the odds.

Take this bet for instance (from the Joolian Tavarez show):

    Rangers to win 4/3
    Red Sox to win 7/2

By the method you've explained above, I could do this:

500 on the Rangers to win
500 on the Sox to win

    If the Rangers win:

    I win 500 + 500(4/3) = 1167 (essentially turning it into 7/2 odds)
    I lose 500
    Net total = 667 gain

    If the Sox win:

    I lose 500
    I win 500 + 500(7/2) = 2250 (essentially turning it into 9/2 odds)
    Net total = 1750 gain

As you can see there is absolutely no way to lose $$. You can only win less.
Way to give away the secret to everybody
