Love The Simpsons, infinitely better run (due to pure duration) than Veronica, and the ratings are likely still better.
However, I'm throwing a pity vote to one of the most underrated shows on TV in Veronica Mars, and since they allowed Michael Cera/Alia Shawkat guest roles on the show, they get my vote.

Somebody said Lost was the best show on TV "period". This is blasphemy when the Simpsons are on the tube.
The newest episodes of the Simpsons may not be the best of the lot, but still better than 99.44% of all things on TV.

The Simpsons isn't that great now, but it gets a reprieve for its past awesomeness.
Not to mention that Veronica Mars doesn't have anything going for it beyond Kristen Bell.
The Simpsons is essentially just a parody of it's formerself, so is Family Guy. Fact is that King of The Hill is the best animation on FOX that is still consistently funny.
Im still going with the Simpsons.
