We Need Writers for The Frontpage

We're looking to assemble a group of writers to write articles and post news/polls related to baseball on the frontpage. Here is what we are seeking:

Active members.
The ability to use correct grammar when submitting articles.
And obviously, content. We don't just want people who post rehashes of ESPN articles or whatnot.

The writing team will likely start out small, 5 or less members probably. And if you're not on the team, you can still submit quality articles to be posted, they'll just need to be reviewed by me or Ted. So if you're interested, feel free to submit something. It can be just your opinion on a subject, a statistical analysis or whatever related to baseball. And if you feel you have a made a post here that would qualify as that, you can also send the link to that post. So if interested, please post in the forum below:

As for what we would demand from the writers, right now it's just kind of a wait and see approach. But overall, we plan to be very flexible. We would rather get a good piece of writing every week or two, then a lower quality piece every few days. And since we plan to at least have 4 or so writers, there shouldn't be too much pressure.

I am close to selecting the first few for the team. So if you are interested in being on the writing team, please submit something soon. Even if you can not complete something by tomorrow, please let me know if you are interested at least. I do not mind waiting if that ensures the best writers being selected.

And your samples do not have to be long, just like 200-250 words.

Well it was a difficult proccess for deciding this team. A lot of interesting and well written articles were sent our way and I appreaciate each one that was sent out. We kept the team to a small number so that there is room to expand upon it as the site grows larger, but we felt at this time five would be enough. If for some reason a writer decides to step down or we begin looking for an extra writer, I will take into consideration the samples you sent in this past week. Again, thanks to who all who applied, it truly was a difficult choice in selecting who made the team.
