Pirates acquire Ike Davis

Pirates acquired 1B Ike Davis from the Mets in exchange for RHP Zachary Thornton and a player to be named.
The 27-year-old slugger has fallen off after a breakthrough 2012 campaign where he smashed 32 homers and drove home 90 runs. The change of scenery, and the likelihood that he receives everyday at-bats, should be a tremendous boost to his fantasy value affords him the chance to get his career back on track.

Thornton looks to be a relief prospect, so it's worth a try to get Ishikawa off the team and hope we can fix Ike.

I like Ike.

I want to like Ike, but he's got HUGE holes in his swing, and an inability to fix them. He's got pop, but his glove has gotten worse since his debut and the only times he's been productive is when he's essentially sacrificing his power (taking hittable pitches) in the hopes of walking more. He's not a lost cause, but he's lost.
