    Pirates acquire Byrd and Buck

    For minor league stuff. Byrd randomly has 21 homeruns for the Mets.

    Star's hand is still messed up, or I don't think we make this deal.

    Buck is, I guess, an upgrade on Tony Sanchez with the bat. I doubt Byrd plays better than the Andrew Lambo/Felix Pie/Gaby Sanchez combo we used the last week or so.
