Zach Zack, whatever.
Looked pretty good, even though Torres blew it for him.

yeah duke did look pretty good. he should be in the starting rotation for good by late august. i really like what our staff will look like for next year.
I'm still not really high on Duke...I don't know...hasn't proven enough to make me a believer yet, and I'm a big spect guy.
i don't know witlon, he seems to be a can't miss kinda guy. i do however want to see more of him at this level. to send him back know would hurt his development.
Out dueled Maddux for win number 3. This might be the beginning of a very beautiful relationship.

Duke has looked good. Maybe your teams new ace? Beat maddux in a pitchers dual. Very good young sp you guys have.

Duke was amazing. The Cubs' offense has been great lately, and Duke shut them out. Looks like he's beginning his promising career.
LOVE THEE NOTRE DAME!
He keeps on trucking, getting the job done without much problem.

I still believe Perez will end up the staff ace of this team when he gets himself healthy and his mechanics worked out. True his season has been miserable (other than a nice K/9) but his stuff outranks Duke's and he's not that much older. Duke will no doubt be a fine pitcher in my mind, but I have to question if some of his early dominance is due to the hitters being unfamiliar with him still. Either way, the Pirates will have two aces at the top of their staff, that's a bright future.Originally Posted by mntwinsfan

It is an incredible start for such a young pitcher. He's got poise to spare and then some. But what's even more impressive than his ERA to me is his high K/9 (8.1) and low BAA (.236) showing that there really isn't a ton of luck factoring into his stats, he's been dominant like they indicate though.
