When you SIGN a CONTRACT, you are ACCEPTING the terms of the CONTRACT. That DOESN'T mean you can then decide you don't like them 3 days later, unless that contract specifically says it expires in 3 days. ****in dickweed....

The sport is pathetic because a team is unable to sign their top draft pick because of a douche bag agent, and a ****ed up system. That is why the sport is pathetic. If MLB truly wanted a sport for all to enjoy, they would implement a salary cap to even the playing the field.

First off, how about you blame Alvarez for ALLOWING Boras to do this. The player has control over his agent. The player tells the agent to **** off when he's being an ass. But no, Alvarez got greedy, and based on what I know, he deserves this just as much as Boras.

And the salary cap wouldn't do anything to help this kind of a situation. Oh I agree friend, I think they should have folded whenever they forced the taxpayers of the Pittsburgh area to build them a stadium. I could care less about baseball, it could end tomorrow and I wouldn't even notice. Like I said condense the league to ten teams, it would do the "sport" a lot of good.

Kinda funny, this site has been around for 4 years and this is the most active the Pirates thread has ever been. Maybe I should stick around and post about how bad they suck.

The Pirates are a product of baseball no? For 16 years we Pirate fans have had to hear about the inequality of MLB. Players get paid a ton of cash, we have to get rid of stars because they can't afford them. Yes the ownership sucks my left nut, but why in life to MLB agree to them buying the team?
