Suffering Scmuffering. People who are still alive can actually remember the last Phillies World Series win. Talk to a Cubs fan or an Indians fan. Or to a lesser extent a Padres fan.

But congrats anyway, rather see them win than the Rays.

I dont know why the Cubs fans complain so much, they have in fact won more world Series than the Phillies. Plus we are the losingest franchise ever. People dont know real suffering until you've read the history of the Phillies.

But yeah, tonights going to be awesome. Drinking late into the game followed by screaming in the streets of Philly with the rest of the town. I cant wait..... though work at 8 the next days gonna suck.

Winning one World Series in 1980 is a lot better than winning two World Series in the very early 20th century when no one here was even around to witness them. Plus, the Cubs always lose in epic fashion.

I don't want to get into a full blown argument here, but you really think you've suffered more then a Cubs fan? All the people who could remember the Cubs glory days, are probably dead.

My dad was born in 1959, so he's been lucky enough to see all the division titles. I wasn't born till 85'. So wasn't alive in 84' and can't remember 89'. The Cubs have lost 9 straight post season games. We've had no titles in the last 100 years.

Honestly I would love it if the Cubs won 55-60 games every year until I died, if just once I could see them win a championship. While you haven't won a ring since 1980, at least you can remember seeing your team in the World Series.
