Even when Lidge comes back, will it even matter?

Just not looking at one game, and it was pretty bad for the pen (Flash's era is 135.01 right now), but the general lack of pitching even with Lidge must worry you guys right? Even with that killer offense, do you think you guys will go out and trade for pitching as long as you're in the thick of things?

I think we have a solid MRs out there when lidge returns with Madson and Romero. But outside of that, it really does scare me. I have zero confidence that Flash can preform at a decent level for any extended period of time. I fully expect a 5 ERA outta him. Hopefully someone can step up and give them a good 4th MR. I think thats all we really need.

So then, what about the rotation? Myers can be decent, Hamels is the real talent, and.. then what.. Kyle Kendrick?

Yeah Kendricks a real question mark. It all depends on how he adjusts in his second season. He doesnt throw to hard, so he will have to be crafty. Luckily he has Moyer to be his tutor in that department. I think he will progress, but probably wont be as effcient as last season. a 4.5 ERA will be respectable for him. Moyer is without a doubt old. He's still good enough to give them 6 solid innings. The real problem is the #5 slot. I have no trust in Eaton what so ever. Hes shown me nothing to give me confidence that he can produce at a high level at all. I feel like Benson or someone else will be taking this slot from him by atleast the All star break, if not sooner. What really worries me is depth. I am not too sure whats going to happen when someone gets injured. I think that will be tough to overcome.
