This is our toughest road trip in a while. It's started out good by taking 2 out of 3 from Texas, but we haven't gotten any help yet. Now we have to help ourselves and need to take at least 2 out of 3 from the Wild Card leading Indians. Well, we didn't get any help from the White Sux or the Twinkies (losing 10 - 0 in the 3rd).

Geez. FINALLY my man Saarloos is getting a chance to pitch. It's been 10 days since the A's last let him take the mound. Why the discrimination? Sure, he has the worst ERA of the A's starters, but the guy has performed well. No way he should be having this long of a layoff.

They waited till they had a feeling he'd do well.

Anyways, that was a nice outing for Haren. And Street further cements his claim for RoY. I think it's clear he's as important to a team as Rivera or K-rod.

We cannot leave as many baserunners on base as we did last night even though we won. One good thing is we stopped a seven game winning streak for the Indians. IMO, sommetimes I'd rather play a team that's been hot because they're due to cool off. I'll be very happy to take 2/3 in this series.

Saarloos is the 5th starter...most 5th starters get skipped because of off-days and the team wanting to come back with the #1 instead of the #5.
