Hell hath no fury like a woman who's team is 4-13 in their last 17 games...

Tough loss, seeing as how Duke was pitching extremely well all year.

    UGH don't remind me.

Don't jinx it - Duke's not gone (yet?). Hopefully he won't land on the DL, and if anything will miss just one start.

True, but you'd be better off taking it slow with him. I mean, as much as it hurts to see losses this year, you want him to be 100% before he comes back.

Maybe so. I'm still hoping that it (the injury) is not a big deal and that he'll be ready to pitch again soon. I really don't like Saarloos in his spot. It just irks me.

Well, I can completely understand that. God, how old is Kirk Saarloos now? I remember when he first came up with the Astros and shut out my Mets...

He's only 29...which is saying something.

Well tonite we were pulverized 13-2. Gallagher lasted five innings and gave up 10 runs on 11 hits. Why the heck wasn't he pulled earlier?!?!?!?!?! And then tomorrow we have Mr. Dallas Braden going for us against Liriano. We don't even stand a chance. This is pathetic. I'm going to hold out for the next series against the Mariners. We may actually have a chance in that one.

Ouch. Umm....look on the bright side. At least you're not starting Johnny Damon in Center Field...

True, very true. That's a good idea, just look on the bright side. Here's a list of all the good things that happened during tonite's game:

    1) We turned three DPs
    2) Suzuki hit a HR
    3) Hannahan had an RBI
    4) Devine pitched one scoreless inning (possible closer?)

Yeah unfortunately that's all I got.

True they're all good, but the list of bad totally trumps the list of good.

Hokay so for today's game, we have Braden going for us agains Liriano (I think I already said that...whatev). The score is currently tied at one apiece. Braden has been surprisingly effective thus far. Hopefully he can keep it up for the rest of the game!

    Re: A's @ Twins; 3-game set

    NEWS FLASH!

    We lost.

Yup. We just lost our 11th series in a row. 3-1 was the final score. We weren't totally blown out of the water, but even still we had no offense whatsoever. Braden did a good job in keeping us in the game, but unfortunately our non-existent offense couldn't pick up the slack. Onto Seattle we go!
