Garland vs Gallagher
Garland was in total control of the Blue Jays in his last start. He needed only 98 pitches to throw a complete game, topping off his four-hit performance. He's been doing relatively well since joining the Angels, and it just goes to show what a change of scenery can do for a player. On the green and gold side, newly-acquired Gallagher will be making his A's debut. In his last start with the Cubs, he allowed three runs on four hits in five innings en route to a loss to the Giants.

Santana vs Eveland
Santana should be very happy to get away from the Ballpark in Arlington (or whatever they call it nowadays). He earned his 10th victory of the season, but he allowed six runs over seven innings. He should be glad to be facing us though, as he is 8-1 lifetime and 3-0 at the Coliseum. In Eveland's last start, he found a way to overcome a rocky first inning to get a 4-3 win. This season, he's allowed nine runs on 11 hits through 11 innings, but hopes to improve upon those numbers.

Saunders vs Duchscherer
This should be the best game of the series. Two All-Star pitchers going up against eachother. Saunders was able to pitch an eight-inning complete game despite the distraction of his wife's pregnancy, but his effort was wasted as he was given only two runs of support. Duchscherer threw his first ever complete-game shutout just two days after being named to the 2008 All-Star squad. In his only start against LA this season, he surrendered one run on six hits while striking out six to get the win.
All three of these games look very good. I am hoping to be at all of them (seeing as they all have some nice promos ). On the injury front, OF Ryan Sweeney is listed as day-to-day after dislocating his finger(s) while sliding into second on a steal. Rajai Davis looks to be his replacement in the OF.
