It'll be Duke's first start in the bigs I believe...and I'm looking forward to Eveland's start. He looked pretty sharp vs the Giants last week.

A's won 6 - 3, but Duke left with an arm injury...a strain or biceps tendinitis. They're not sure yet, but he might miss his next start. Street gave up his 3rd homer already and his ERA is over 12
Crosby and Barton each had 2 hits with Ryan Sweeney going 4 for 4.

Re: Indians @ A's: 3-game weekend series
Woohoo we just took game 2 from the Tribe. Eveland pitched beautifully, with like 7 Ks and held the Indians to six hits. Barton was 3 for 5, Ellis had 3 RBI (one was a homer) and Cust had 2. Only downside is that Donnie Murphy left the game early because of a collision with Cust and word is that he has a strained right middle finger...but man we really made CC work today. Loved it.

0-0. Onto the second inning. Buck is back in the lineup after going 0 for his first 18. Cust has the day off too. We'll see how this game progresses...

I like how Peralta basically said Eveland got lucky...how disrespectful. Nothing like tipping your cap to the opponent, eh? Someone should drill the jerk today and then say he got lucky...

Blanton is a hard luck loser again as the A's lose the finale 2 - 1.
