Harden was straight up nasty striking out nine in six innings. Brown redeemed himself after yesterday's base running blunder by crushing a three run homer.

I am so excited about the performance of Harden. I am not a huge A's fan, but I don't hate them either and love the intensity that some of the players like Travis Buck give on a daily basis. Go A's.
I agree. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I think intensity is something that is missing in baseball, and a few players really bring it to the table. Guys like Joba, Carlos Zambrano, Papelbon. When things get exciting, these guys and others turn up the dial, and it really gets so much fun to watch. I know if I were in a tight situation and I got a clutch hit or a clutch strikeout, I would be fired up and pumped up and I'd probably scream and get excited. It should happen more often.
The A's need Harden to be healthy and return to form this season. They are going to need him!!!!
BOOM goes the Sox!
Suck on it ESPN.
Nice job Rich!!
Yes!! We're in first place!!
hopefully, this will be a sing of things to come for Harden this season
I surely hope this is a sign to come for Harden. Before his injuries he had one of the nastiest arms and pitches in the game. I hope he is back to that.
Now it's back home for a 3 game exhibition series vs the Giants then we finish the series w/the Sox at home. Blanton will be pitching that game I believe...
There was no gun on TV, but you could tell Harden was dealing. You should just enjoy the rest of the 40 innings he'll throw this year.
I heard he hit in the upper-140s, which, if I do the numbers right, equates to the low-mid 90s.
I listened to some of it on the radio and they said he hit 96 a couple times...mostly 90-93 though
