we thought so highly of Andre Ethier that we drafted him twice:
Drafted: Selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 37th round (1121st overall) of the 2001 amateur entry draft. (June-Reg phase)....Selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 2nd round (62nd overall) of the 2003 amateur entry draft. (June-Reg phase)

He's batting .371 with 9 homers and 39 RBIs at AA
Steve Stanley is another guy from the Moneyball draft IIRC. He's hitting .287 at AA

Daric Barton, acquired in the Mulder trade and considered the crown jewel of the deal, is no longer listed as a catcher (since we have about 4 catchers ahead of him including Landon Powell who is out of this season with a torn ACL or something)...they have him playing 1B for Stockton A
from ESPN:
that blows...Sacramento LHP John Rheinecker is expected to miss at least another month due to a partially torn tendon in his middle finger. Arguably the best pitcher in the Pacific Coast League, Rheinecker went 4-0 with a 1.77 ERA. ...
Sure does...well hopefully he recovers in time so he can be a September call-up
I'd like to know how he tore a tendon in his middle finger only...I've never heard of that before.

say hello to our future power hitting, base stealing CF; Javier Herrera
here are this years stats again...with A Kane County and AAA Sacramento

So we're gonna trade Kots to make room for this kid??
This kid is only at A kane county right now...he was at AAA for like 5 days or something. He hit a homer there and hit over .400 in those 5 games, but I'm not really sure why he was sent there and back for such a short period of time. It must have been a case of roster shuffling and it was easier to do that than send someone from AA to AAA and then someone from A to AA...I dunno, I couldn't find anything about it really. I'd say this guy will be with the A's in 2007...if he stayed at AAA when he was up there, then I'd say at some point in 2006...but I'll say 2007 for now.
for the year he is hitting .274 with 9 doubles, 1 triple, 6 homers, 31 RBIs, 24 bbs, obp around .370, 16 stolen bases with only 1 caught stealing in 48 games
Herrera gunned down some scrub at the plate in a 2 - 1 Cougars win...from the stuff I've read he's a good center fielder with a strong arm...he's only got 5 errors, but it doesn't say out of how many chances or a fielding percentage
Midland clinched its first playoff birth in 10 years by winning the first half of the West Division in the Texas League.
