as for the Cards series, based on the pitching matchups, we should be able to at least take 2 easy and win another series

2 - 0 Cardinals in the 2nd inning...we better win at least 2 out of 3 this series. The Cards have been terrible this year.

3 - 3 in the bottom of the 3rd with no outs. Kendall doubled home 2 and Kotsay singled home the other.

4 - 3 now as Swisher doubles in a run...2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Chavez walked and Crosby doubled in 2 runs...6 - 3 A's.

Haren started off a little shakey, but the bats came through big to give him his 8th win

after that 2nd inning, Haren was cruising

nice to see everbody chipping in offensively

We got hammered tonight 15 - 6. All thanks to Lugo (7 earned runs) and Calero (3 earned runs) giving up a combined 10 earned runs in the 5th. Hopefully, Kennedy can help us get the series win tomorrow. Anthony Reyes is now pitching. It said Brad Thompson earlier, but he actually pitched in relief tonight.

i was at the game tonight, and it was brutal

that 5th inning was hard to watch, and the pinch-hit duncan grand-slam was so foreseeable that it almost seemed scripted

the seats were awesome though. got free tickets from my cousin, right behind homeplate. a friend of mine said that we were actually on tv quite a bit during pitches.

See the club called up JJ Furmaniak to help out as an extra infielder. He's an easy guy to start to like(I doubt he'll play, but, eh), because of his versitility and being an in general nice guy.

yea, he was on the Pirates a few years ago, right? Murphy hardly played when he was called up twice so far (he just got sent down and can't be called up for 10 days unless someone gets injured, which explains why JJ was called up). I'm sure it'll be a similar situation as far as that goes.

Why did we get Lugo? We've been playing well so a laugher isn't that big of a deal to me especially when you look at who we threw out there yesterday although Calero is officially crap now. I'd like to improve DiNardo's spot in the rotation; dude falls behind every hitter. He's helped us out but the guy pitches on the edge.

I'm trying to get tix to the Home Run Derby at San Fran.
