Antonio Perez was DFA. Brad Halsey was optioned to AAA Sacramento (to be stretched out as a starter in case Kennedy can't handle starting and in case of anymore injuries. 1B Dan Johnson, CF Mark Kotsay, and DK's lover SP Loaiza will start the season on the DL.
I'm surprised that DiNardo made the roster. I'm also surprised that Buck did considering he's never even played at AAA. It looks like the rotation for now is:
1. Haren (opening day starter)
2. Blanton
3. Harden (so he can start the home opener)
4. Kennedy
5. Gaudin? Maybe DiNardo?
It also appears that there will be some sort of platoon between RF and 1B. Swisher will be playing 1B or RF regardless with Buck/Kielty/Walker mixing in RF/1B.
I have to admit, I'm not all that impressed after our injuries. I'd much rather have those 3 guys in there instead of the replacements. Blanton is a #4 at best. Buck should be at AAA so he can get regular playing time instead of warming the bench / possibly platooning. Walker shouldn't be in the field at all I'd also prefer the OF of Swisher/Kotsay/Bradley than Stewart/Bradley/Swisher (and Kielty).
