16 times? Let's hope that number won't continue to grow, especially at this rate. Another note-Harden pitch today. Does anyone know why? Is it still that same thing from when he pitched in Cleveland?

Haren was the only Athletic selected to the ASG...I thought Gaudin had a shot with his ERA being under 3. Oh well...I hate the ASG anyway.

The ASG is just a big popularity contest. It never has all the right players that should be there.

IMO, the coaches should be the ones who choose who goes. There's a lot of talented guys who are almost always left out of the game. Only a few guy who are actually "worthy" ever end up going. JMO.

They were talking about this during the broadcast yesterday and I agree that Cust would be a great candidate for the HR derby. Dude hits some monster shots.

I agree. This guy has a lot of power, especially as of late. He's been on fire and it would be awesome to have another guy from a Bay Area team in San Fran. I unfortuneately just don't see that happening though.

Cust would hit a some monster shots, but how many times would he swing and miss as well. You know that is his alter ego. Mr. Strikeout.

Probably not. I just said that cuz it is a running joke between me and HCG. He would actually be a good addtion to the derby.

I knew you were going to bring that up. I hope he'd be Mr. Homerun, although I'd hafta agree it'd be pretty funny if he was Mr. K.

That would be pretty funny, but I bet he could muscle out quite a few bombs.

So do I. He can pull the ball really well, and he does have power to the opposite field too. He's put on quite a show, IMO.

I haven't heard anything but I'm hoping Billy is going to strengthen the bullpen.

Well Beane is the type of GM where you never really know what his next move is going to be, but like you said, I hope he tries to strengthen the bullpen, as it has let us down in quite a few games.
