My eyes are on Durazo... looking for a comeback.
so much rides on health and it seems like we say this every year. Harden, Crosby, Street, Bradley, and Chavez all need to be healthy and solid. We don't seem to have as much room for error this year with regards to injuries.
Prov I saw your post in other thread regarding tix. Right now I have tix to the Yankees for the first Sat home game and I also ordered the Sweetheart Pack as it was a helluva deal; five games field level outfiled for $60 each- a savings of $90 per seat. I ordered three of them and we always sit field level outfield anyways. That's it for now.
Did I read it right you're going to Boston?
yea, I am going to Boston...it is the closest stadium to me
It appears we have one more addition...the A's claimed Lenny DiNardo off waivers from the Red Sox today. see here I don't really think he'll have much of an impact if any....
It seems like its one of those low risk, high reward type signings. You think he would make the team?
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)
TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
I don't think he'll make the team...maybe AAA as injury insurance or something. We did sign 8 players today to one year contracts.
see here
Catcher Jeremy Brown; left-handed pitcher Ron Flores; outfielder Ryan Goleski; outfielder Javier Herrera; infielder Dan Johnson; infielder Donnie Murphy; right-handed pitcher Shane Komine; and right-handed pitcher Dan Shafer.
Did anyone read the article today? It mentioned the reason for Johnson's eye problems last year and also that a bone chip was found in Meyer's shoulder, but he's good to go now. I wonder if he'll ever show us what he can do. At least he's finally healthy this year.
Crosby took his first swings today since he got injured...said he felt great even though he was only swinging at 60-70%. Does anyone think he'll be healthy for this season and come close to meeting his potential?
Here's a link to the Crosby story for those that don't cruise the A's website:

I also read that Geren is thinking about running more this year. Makes sense with the likes of Stewart and Bradley on the team. In fact Milton looked great running the bases last year when healthy.
I still have man-love for Milton.
Interesting article on Piazza:

I hope he doesn't push too hard to catch.
I know it's early and it's only batting practice but I've heard a couple of times now that Bradley is absolutely destroying the ball.
