I must say, it's nice to see the young guys adding some life and fire to this team (Crosby, Swisher and Johnson). But, we all know they'll be shipped out at some point so I'm not going to get too attached.
Add Street to that last post; dude has a nice combination of guts, heart and a little bit of arrogance/confidence.
Maybe with Wolff, things will be different. 2 of our youngsters, Crosby and Harden have already been re-signed under his ownership.Originally Posted by A'sDiehard
yes, once the new stadium or moving takes place, this team will no longer lose its players with this ownership. Remember, they are now the 3rd richest as far as resources...
jease...the A's forum was dead all weekend. I actually got to catch some of the game on Sunday...saw one of Chavez's homers and Kotsay's homer...
Watson was recalled and Thomas was finally sent down:

Blanton beat the Mets 5 - 0 yesterday...let's string some wins together
I'm back and yeah I noticed there haven't been many threads since I've been gone. What's up with that? :P
Well I saw the guys on TV here last night. Good win against Glavine, Joe handled that Mets lineup very impressively.
Welcome back, ABG.
Welcome back ABG; I've been very busy as I just started a new job.
from ESPN.com:
Oakland starter Barry Zito (3-7, 4.47 ERA) has posted a respectable 3-3 mark with a 3.34 ERA in his last nine starts after going 0-4 with a 6.60 ERA in April. The 2002 Cy Young Award winner has also benefited from an increase in run support as the A's have scored 17 runs in his last three outings after tallying just 17 in his first 11.
Too bad he didn't get any run support last night, then got 3 extra runs charged to him after he left the game. I was at the game...finally my first one of the season...and he looked really impressive. But once again, the bats were cold on a cold night in Oakland.
Does anybody know how much of Kendall's contract we're paying? I swear if I see one more weak ground ball to short from that guy I'm going to puke. There is NO POP in that bat. But, at least he throws out about one out of every ten basestealers (is that a word?).
Another gem by Billy Beane.
I still like the name Duchscherer

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
