I think he'd seriously hurt someone...which is why I said I don't think they have the balls to hit him. I can't really see anyone else charging except maybe Kendall because he has before, but that was because Lackey then jawed at him first and maybe Payton because of what happened last year. Otherwise, none of the A's strike me as guys that would charge...they all seem pretty even keel. Frank might get mad enough, but he's a smart guy and can keep a level head.

Well, Payton's an asshole, so I wouldn't be surprised there, and I doubt anyone's afraid of Kendall. But Milton could **** some people up

ugh, well, that was our chance to get back in the game...left the bases loaded with 2 outs.

Maybe it's me, but I highly doubt that they would risk payback with a baserunner on in a game that had a chance to be tied up in that same inning

it didn't have a chance to be tied at the time...there was only 1 runner on with 2 outs.

I realize that, but why risk the situation, especially considering this is Hansen's third appearance in four days (aka tired), plus he's prone to wildness at this point to begin with.

why would Zito hit (though replays showed otherwise) Ortiz in the pinky up by 7 runs?
Why would they hit Tek when they're trailing by a decent margin with Haren struggling?
Why would Zito barely hit Pena today already losing 4 - 0 with a runner on 2nd?
and Zito is known to be wild and has hit quite a few guys this year (not on purpose)...why would you think a soft-tossing lefty was hitting guys on purpose?
I'm just using the logic based on how the Red Sox have reacted and since they think everyone is out to get them.

I have no idea where you're getting this idea that the Red Sox think the A's are out to get them. This just seems like paranoia.

because they have hit an A's batter after each one of those scenarios
are you telling me that it's coincidental?

Some of them may be. Some of them may not be.

the fact that they hit an A's batter after each time shows to me that they think the A's are hitting them on purpose. I didn't see tonight's because I had turned off the game and was just following it by gameday to be honest, but that AAA clown definitely tried to hit Kotsay and failed. Then he tried to hit to Thomas, failed, and then hit him on the next pitch. And Schilling definitely hit Swisher on purpose. So that is 2 HBPs on purpose, 2 attempted on purpose, and 1 undecided until I see it.

I never said anything to oppose that, but those two seem to be more low pressure situations than anything. Hansen's a rookie pitcher, with a 1.42 WHIP, and whose pitched 75% of the last four days. Really, I doubt he did that on purpose.

as I said, I will need to see a replay of it, but given the recent history and the fact that there were 2 outs, he's guilty until proven innocent.
edit: you're no fun anymore fisher
