Is he just using us to get an extension w/ Atlanta? I don't see why, other than money, he'd want to leave but I'll be happy if we get him.

Not even knowing if Torre is going to stay or go yet, and they already have a person lined up for the pitching coach job?
Is Mazzone WIN METHOD certified?

Mazzone is a huge part of the Braves success and I am sure they will retain him. There hasn't been a better pitching coach.
How old is he now? Im really surprised with all the manager changings over the year no one ever gave him a shot. Atlanta recognizes his importance during the 15 yr dominance and will retain him plus he probably already heard about the problems with working with George.
Plus anyone ever check and see if George himself is a win method owner? Looks like lately all he does is sign big paychecks for aging stars and makes the day 2 day running of the team his business when theres a perfectly capable Manager and a GM there paid to do that.

Mazzone aint leaving Atlanta. Him and Bobby are mad tight. And he's already the highest paid pitching coach; he's not leaving.

Maybe Mazzone can fix Jaret Wright again and maximize Pavano's (when he's not hurt) talent. Of course, Mazzone's pitchers with the exception of Smoltz tend to implode in the postseason.
