And it took 161 games, geez. What an unbelievable accomplishment for a $200 million team. Congratulations.
I'd rather have the Yanks win like this than win by 15 games. More exciting.

youre insane... i wouldve much preferred everybody else in the division figure out a way to go 0-162 as we went 162-0Originally Posted by General

Impossible, since every team in the division plays every other team 19 times, therefore not everyone can go 0-162.Originally Posted by Hammer

Just unbelieveable.
Well they'll get bounced in the first round anyway. No way that pitching makes it to the WS.
Haha..bounced in the first round..
Sounds like the A's to me!

There always has to be someone making the ignorant statement.
Do the Yankees have a giant payroll? Yes.
Does money equal wins always? No! 161 games before they clinched a berth. Very easily they could have not made the playoffs. They do have the defending World Series Champions in their division.

And who has the great pitching this year?
The Yankees were admittedly horrible last year and came within 1 inning of beating the RedSox.
I am much more comfortable with this pitching than last year.

$120+ million dollar payroll and the Boston Red Sox have to win on their last game of the season to make the playoffs.
Does it really ****ing matter?
