Robinson Cano is reportedly seeking a $305 million 10-year contract. According to reports earlier in the year offers by the Yankees of an 8-year- $138 million and a 6-year- $144 million deal were declined. At the beginning of the season Cano had left BorASS and became one of the first clients in Jay Z's new branch of his company called Roc Nation Sports.

I don't think he'll get anywhere near that money but there could end up being a big bidding war during the off season.

i think the highest the yanks will go is 6/132-138 [22-23 mil a year]. i expect him to get the 7th year from the dodgers.

i say Cano is gone to either the Dodgers or Braves. I am guessing 300 million will get the services of Cano.

The absolute most I see him getting is 10/$225ish, and even that might be a stretch with how most of those mega contracts have been turning out, teams will learn eventually.

I think he stays with the Yankees, mostly because no one else is more desperate for him. If he leaves NY, who is the Yankees' best hitter? Not someone that would be the best hitter on a World Series contender.
