Pedro Feliciano headed for shoulder surgery?

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said that an MRI revealed a "damaged shoulder" for Pedro Feliciano.
The Yankees haven't given any more details to this point, but surgery seems likely. It's a significant blow to the team's bullpen, especially with Boone Logan struggling. Feliciano was signed to a two-year, $8 million deal over the offseason and has yet to make an appearance for the Bronx Bombers.

Boy, did Cashman screw the pooch on this one. He helps rip the Mets for "abusing" him but he's the one that signed him to a 2 yr deal worth $8 million. And now the topper is he will most likely need surgery. I'm sure Pedro had to have a physical in order to sign this deal so how did they not catch this "abused" shoulder then?

New York Yankees left-handed reliever Pedro Feliciano's season is likely over.

A dye MRI taken Wednesday afternoon revealed that Felciano has a torn capsule in his left shoulder, and he is leaning toward arthroscopic surgery, he told reporters before Thursday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles. Before that he will get a second opinion from renowned physician Dr. James Andrews on Monday.
