What a solid performance last night by the Yankees offense. It is always helpful when the opposing pitcher is well past his prime but any win against Boston is a good win! I think that lefties against Smoltz went 8 for 12 or something like that. Four homeruns in the game: one by each of posada, cabrera, teixeira, and damon(?).

Let's hope that they can continue tonight against a red hot Beckett.
