The bullpen is nothing to worry about.

That steal by Jacoby was pretty insane. I have never seen that before while watching. The Yankees really need to step things up. If the Yankees can learn how to get hits with RISP they can be a totally different team. BTW, Cano has been sick lately. I think this will be a huge year for him.

Ellsbury's steal was a huge blow to the Yankees. Great play and it really got the fans into it.

Pettitte is very good at holding runners on 1st, but is relatively easy to steal 3rd and home against. He didn't even make Ellsbury stop on that play.
The Yankees would be in real trouble without Pettitte's contributions this season and tonight, he is not pitching his best.

It did appear, though, that Pettitte rushed his throw halfway through his pitching motion when he finally realized that Ellsbury was charging down the line.

I can't imagine the way Melancon must be feeling tonight. Making a major-league debut is exciting enough, but against the Red Sox, in Fenway. Then he pitches a very good inning. Amazing.

Michael Bowden was also making his major league debut tonight. Clean inning as well. Looks like a couple of promising youngsters for both teams.

Once again John Miller proves he's an idiot. It's Mark MEL-an-kone, not Mark Mel-AN-son

Excuse him for not memorizing the yankees farm system.

He didn't just mispronounce it, he blew it. Melancon is a huge up-and-coming prospect, and he should know it. He only needs to know 25 guys. Know them.

I think it was John Miller who pronounced Berroa's name like one of those things up in heaven.

That was a lost weekend, the Sox are playing very well right now. Hopefully that ends soon. This series is always very weird, the Sox always get the better of it early and the Yanks later in the year.
