Better late than never.
Normally, I wouldn't care about this one bit. But last season showed that you can never have too much catching depth. Not a move that's going to put the Yanks over the top by any means but a solid move to be safe.The Yankees have obtained catcher Chris Stewart from the White Sox for a player to be named later. Stewart played in one game for the Yankees last season. He has been with three organizations since 2002.
According to Brian Cashman, Stewart will be in Major League camp.
