No, the Yankees need better pitching in the rotation and bullpen. Let's say Manny has a good year and then gets tired of NY. Where are you then?? Yankees need to try and find a CFer and pitching. Manny makes them older and weaker on defense. Yankees need to get back to their winning ways and sticking to the same formula doesn't allow them to do that.

Obviously we need pitching but our lineup needs a BIG jolt. We missed the postseason this year b/c of the bats not the arms. That doesn't mean I want them to get manny but changes need to be made to our everyday lineup.

The Yankees were 7th in Runs/game and 8th in team ERA. The arms were more costly and will be even more this year if they don't get some arms. Pitching is what wins you championships. That big jolt can come from Teixeira or anyone else at a position of need like CF.
