Girardi realizes something needs to be done. The offense is sputtering when it is needed the most. Buster Olney gets it perfectly in this video. We will see what direction this club goes in. But changes need to happen, and they need to happen soon. Whether it's as small as releasing LaTroy Hawkins to send a message, or as big as going out and getting a guy like Sabathia, something needs to happen. I'm not saying that there is one quick fix, but a change needs to happen, because this team is not good enough to reach the playoffs, bottom line. You can agree or disagree on what needs to be done, but I think it's pretty clear that something needs to happen. The guys on the offense, young and old, just are not producing.
