    Ian Kennedy

This move was a long time coming, but it's tough for a Yankee rotation already missing Phil Hughes. Looks like Rasner and Karstens will both be put into the rotation. Which is not really a favorable situation for the team.

Ugh. I don't see how if Kennedy and Hughes are doing so bad, how the team expects Rasner and Karstens to do any better. But whatever, it was necessary. He needed to be sent a message, and he needs to work on some stuff. He'll be back later in the year, but for now, this was the right move.

Rasner and Karstens have confidence, unlike Hughes and Kennedy...

Let Kennedy dominate some AAA hitters for a while and work his issues out

Looks like Igawa, not Karstens, will be called up.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Anyway, it's a necessary move IMO, I'm cool with it.

I think both Hughes and Kennedy have much more upside than Igawa and Karstans. I think they should keep Kennedy down in AAA and let him develop there and bring up Igawa or Karstans as stopgaps in the rotation which is a must right now for the Yankees.

I really think either one of them are just mediocre stopgaps for the fill in for Hughes, but the Yankees are forced to make the move. I think it is more important for them to keep the development of Kennedy going in AAA and he will be more confident in the future when he comes up to the Yankees rotation for good.

because Igawa is a complete failure in my eyes. He doesn't have the stuff or the ability to be able to get enough outs at the major league level. I saw him pitch in spring training last year, when the Yankees first got him, and unless he's made major, major improvement in the minors this year, he just doesn't have it. Let Karstens have a chance.

Wonderful. Does the fact that Karstens is on the DL affect your decision?

That would put a little damper on bringing him up.

I think they would call me before they call on Mike Maroth.
