Melky has quickly become my second-favorite Yankee, behind Derek Jeter, for inexplicable reasons. Yes, this decent-hitting CF has vaulted ahead of some of the greats in my mind. I don't know why. But this thread will be dedicated to his greatness throughout the year.
April 1st vs Blue Jays
- Melky makes a leaping catch in deep CF, then follows it up with a lunging catch in left center. Two very nice plays in a row. Almost had another great one too.
- Works Roy Halladay for a 10 pitch at bat and caps it off with a home run to right field. Sure it was a Yankee Stadium HR, but they all count the same, and it was a great at-bat nonetheless.
