We played small ball man...contact, moving the runner around, good situational hitting.

Small ball isn't just bunting and stealing...hitting to the right side with a runner on 2nd, getting the ball in the air with a runner on third and less than two outs...

That's what they were good at...not "small" ball, but little ball, doing small things to win games

Maybe it was the fact that they hit for a higher average or got on base more? Maybe it was Pettitte, Cone, Rivera, and Wetteland that won the division?

If your team is "boasting and bragging noisily" and carrying an "ostentatious display of arrogance and conceit." simply from "playing well" (re: Not necessarily winning) they have problems.

I'm not saying that was outstanding and why we won the Series, because only an idiot would ignore the pitching performance...I'm saying we didn't slug teams out like the late 90's, we played real baseball.
