I wish I could do you more justice, but even those of us that didn't see you play or watch you broadcast, know that you were a great Yankee, and more importantly, a great man. We'll miss you Phil!

    Re: R.I.P. Phil Rizzuto

Terrible news, although 89 years is nothing to be ashamed about...one of the all-time greatest Yankees both on the field and in the broadcast booth. A huge loss to the Yankees and to baseball. RIP Scooter.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

    Re: R.I.P. Phil Rizzuto

I'm surprised at the mediocre treatment this is getting. A HOF SS and a near HOF broadcaster, not to mention a widely respected player in the Majors, and thusly elected by the VC in the '90's.

    C'mon people.

Sad the hear this. Rizzuto wasn't just a great Yankee but a great ambassador for baseball. One of the best careers in baseball. 13 seasons as a player winning 7 WS titles and then broadcasting for another 40. Hard to top that!! Have fun where ever you are Scooter!

The non-yankee fans here don't really like to support us.

    RIP Mr. Phil Rizzuto..

Baseball truly lost a legend today. I believe he will watch the game carefully from heaven.

My prayers and thoughts go out to The Rizzuto Family.

I was just reading yesterday an old short SI article about Phil Rizzuto when he was a player having befriended a young Ed Lucas. Phil must have been a great guy.
