This one is kinda close but I would still take Manny. Hideki brings better deffense but Manny is a great hitter.

I like Manny, and i've liked him since he was on Cleveland. I just rather have a Matsui out there, who can hit, field, and overall is a great player.
Yea it depends how much defense means to you really. Manny is a horrible fielder (last year grabbing that one throw in the OF lol). If you don't mind having a bad fielder in left though he is a great bat to have.

No doubt. Manny is awesome offensively, I just rather have Matsui who is a great fielder but who also has a offensive side to him.
I thought this was really close as well. But you can't go against a MVP type player.
Exactly. I'd pick Manny.Originally Posted by awefullspellare

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.
Having a player with shallow range in LF won't kill you, and Manny's bat surpasses Matsui's. And Ramirez isn't that bad a fielder, clumsy as hell, but not that bad. I'll take Manny any day, even though Zilla is a PITA
Both suck defensively.
Matsui is my 2nd favorite player so I vote for him out of complete bias and hatred of Manny. But I'd take Manny, I'm just a biased Yankee fan.
I want to change back to matsui but i can't...the vote is now 5-5
The fact that the poll is around tied makes me want to cry, curse, and spit on this poll simultaneously.
Manny hands down. Great presence on the line up and for the team. i voted Manny because he is better, it was just a plus that i am a Red Sox fan .
You got some Yankee homers here, who can't vote for the better player just because they are Yankee fans. Which is quite stupid, IMO. But homers will be homers, I'm just glad i'm not one.
